About Me |
|
A bit about me... I have been beading and making jewelry in the Seattle area since about 1993 and have learned so much from so many people.
The beading community is a great place to be, and I felt it was my turn to begin to give back some of what I have received over the years. I have taken so many classes, met so many people, and learned so many things that I wanted to be able to share my tips, tricks and ideas with others so I began teaching.
In 2003 a friend opened beadclub in Woodinville, WA and I was hired to teach and help get the store started. With my broad background, I have been able to teach in many forms of jewelry making. Sometimes I want instant gratification and so working with stringing, wirework, chain maille and basic metal work are great for those moods. Other times I prefer to just sit and have a longer term and often more portable project so I turn to working with seed beads and needle weaving or bead embroidery.
My first foray into national instruction was in 2007 when I was lucky enough to teach classes in Milwaukee, WI; Sonoma, CA; and Orlando, FL. Now the ball has begun rolling and I am scheduling many more national shows and customized classes.
I've been lucky enough to be published in Stringing Magazine by Interweave, Beader's Stash by Laura Levaas, and Flatwork by Nicole Campanella as well as a quick interview on Beads, Baubles and Jewels TV show and hope to add more as time goes by.
I'd love to have you come visit me at one of the shows, or at beadclub. I would also be happy to discuss a customized class at a location convenient for you. |
